Where does the time go?

It doesn't seem like it has been very long, but I guess it has. Been really busy, went to spend two weeks with Amanda, Josh and little Adah. It was the hardest thing in the world to leave. I don't think the people at the Monterey airport knew what to think with both Kelly and I sitting there crying. If you have looked at Amanda's blog you have seen all the pictures I have, below is my favorite and the one I have on my phone.

We miss you Adah and love you so much!

We have started working on things at the land again, Kelly and I worked on getting the field mowed, our goal is to keep it down. It takes us about 17 hours to mow the whole thing. Hopefully if we keep it low it won't take that long next time. Below are the pictures of mowing.

This is when we were almost done, if you look out by the trees the grass is still high.

While mowing, Kelly must have hit a snake and killed it. Not real sure, but think it was just a grass snake or something like that. It was about 3 to 4 ft long. When we are mowing the birds come from everywhere circling around the field just waiting for you to kill or scare something out of the high grass. Needless to say they were all over that snake, these are just a few.

We got up one morning and looked out the door and this deer was looking back at us. It was so neat, she was really close and just stood there, till Riley saw her and started chasing her. Even after she chased her to the back of the property she stayed around there for a while. We know they are there, but I think they know when hunting season is and hide.

This is her running from Riley.

I don't have much else right now, we started a pole barn this past weekend, it is way to hot to be doing this now. I am really a nice person when I am hot, tired and hurting. Ask Kelly he loves working with me. I always have a smile on my face. But, hey Kelly is no angel either. I didn't take any pictures of what we have done on this yet, maybe this weekend I will try to get some. Or maybe one of me enjoying helping Kelly in the 100 degree heat. Ha Ha!!!!

I want to wish Justin and Lindsay good luck as they head off on their run in Seattle. I will be watching to see them as they make it across the finish line. Glad they are going to Seattle and not trying to run here in this heat. I will try to update more often.
Take care love ya'll

Nana Shower!

The people at my work decided I needed a Nana Shower. It was really sweet of them, we had a great time. Adah got lots of books, several to do with Grandma and lots of bows. They made a bow tree, I think she has enough bows to last her for a year and never wear the same one twice. I work with a really great group. Now we just need Adah to hurry up and get here.

Thanks everyone!

FINALLY!!!

Just thought I would update with some pictures I have taken over the last couple of weekends down at the land.

As you can see everything is starting to turn green, I love it out there this time of year.

We have started mowing a larger area with the riding lawn mower. It takes a little longer but I really like it better.

We had Lexie out there one weekend, her and Riley really enjoy being able to explore. Riley knows when Friday is here and we are packing to go to the land she gets so excited.

Lexie likes to ride, she could be on the other side of the property and Kelly could start up the engine and she would come in a dead run to go for a ride. Mason likes to ride also but he is not as fast as Lexie so he got left behind.

Josh came in this past weekend for Easter, we went out fishing on Sat for a little while, the wind started picking up with the storms coming in so we were only out for about 3 hours totally. But we found a really good catfish hole. We caught these in about 45 min. just before we had to go in.

And Josh got to clean them....

Till next time, take care...only 33 days :)
Love you, Momma Ward

The Gate

I know.....it has been a very long time since I have posted anything. The sad part is I was looking thru the pictures on my camera. They go back all the way to Thanksgiving, and I did not post any of them. I will not try to go back and update on everything that has happened nor will I be posting all those pictures. I am going to try to add a slide show later and hopfully will have them on there.
What I wanted to post today, was a picture of our gate. Justin and Lindsay gave us a sign for the gate for Christmas. We have been trying to decide how we wanted to hang it. Well this weekend we finally did!

What do you think? I Love it!!!!

Not much else right now, we did finally get a boat, so we hope to start fishing...YEA!!!
Also I noticed on Amanda's ticker that she has on her blog that little Adah will be here in about 100 days....we are so excited.

Till next time (I will try not to take 4 mths) Love ya'll
